14-year-old Olivia Obetts, from Comstock Park High School, is one lucky girl. According to Lorilee Craker, a press writer for The Grand Rapids Press, Olivia, who is an aspiring journalist, got to interview Cody Linley. “I was excited because I thought he was so cute on the TV Show,” the freshman told Lorilee, who came with her. Olivia was lead into an office in the Van Andel Arena and there she got to ask her questions to Linley.
Here are some of her questions.
Olivia: How does a week on the set of “Hannah Montana” look?
Cody: We practice for three days and then on the fourth day, we tape the show for TV On the fifth day we perform it in front of a live audience . . . We spend about 10 and a half hours a day on set, including three hours of school each day.
Are you going to start singing as well as acting?
I wasn’t really a singer although I have played guitar since I was 15. But so many people asked me if I could sing, for movie parts or whatever, that I started taking lessons.
Did your friends start to treat you differently since you started to act on “Hannah Montana?”
“I have been going to school with the same kids since kindergarten in Dallas, where I’m from. Some new kids asked me for my autograph once in the cafeteria, and that was weird. One of my close friends in Texas just emailed me and said, ‘It’s weird to see you in magazines! But really, my friends know I’m still the same silly guy. I’m just Cody.”
