Cody Linley, born November 20, 1989 in Lewisville Texas- attended Degan Elementary School, Huffines Middle School, and now attends Lewisville High School. Cody is on schedule to graduate LHS in May of 2008. Cody’s parents, Catherine, and Lou are currently seperated, and have four other children- Jimmy, Ben, Scott and Jason. Cody’s mother is a therapist, while his father is a hair dresser.
Cody began his acting in 1998, in a film entitled “Still Holding on: The Legend of Cadillac Jack. In 2000 he was in three shows “My Dog Skip”, “Where the Heart is”, and “Miss Congeniality”. in 2003, Cody was in two movies “When Zachary Beaver Came to Town”, and “Cheaper by the Dozen”.
Cody now appears in “Hannah Montana” as Jake Ryan, a teen actor. There has been confirmation that there are some kissing scenes between Cody and Miley Cyrus. Cody has also appeared in “Achy Jakey Heart” where he and Miley Cyrus shared many kisses. He also appears in “That’s So Raven”.
Linley appeared during the world premiere of The Cheetah Girls 2 while conversing alongside hit Disney Channel celebrity, Brenda Song, opening the film with their comments. When Brenda introduced him, she said “Hannah Montana Star” which arose rumors that he may receive a permanent/main role on the show. He also recorded the background tracks for Miley Cyrus’ song “Clear” on the “Hannah Montana Vol. 2, Meet Miley Cyrus”.
Cody has also guest starred on That’s So Raven as Darrell (Darrell and the cool crew).
He was reportedly supposed to star in Evan Almighty, but never appeared.
In the children’s filmHoot, which opened on May 5, 2006 Linley played Mullet Fingers and co-starred with Logan Lerman and Brie Larson, three youngsters who try to save a local population of endangered owls from a disturbing threat in Florida. The movie is an adaptation of the children’s book by Carl Hiaasen.
He is in Pittsburgh filming The Haunting Hour Volume One: Don’t Think About it with Emily Osment from Hannah Montana.
He announced in March 2007 that either a cameo, small role, or major role are trying to be worked into The Cheetah Girls 3.
He will be featured on the cover, inside the main article, and on a mini-poster of the July 2007 edition of Pop Star Magazine
